Man arrested for Octopus Stuck in Toddlers mouth, Toddler rushed to the hospital

In a suspected case of Child abuse, a toddler was rushed to the hospital after an Octopus was stuck in her mouth and the toddler was choking on the Octopus.

The 2 year old toddler was not breathing when when his 21 year old mother came home on Tuesday night.

36 year old Matthew Gallagher, the mother's boyfriend was performing CPR on the toddler when she came in.

An ambulance was called upon, the ambulance took the boy to hospital where doctors removed the two inch long sea creature from his throat.

The toddler also had bruises on his face was in a critical condition but now stable.

The toddler remains in hospital while medics checks him over for brain damage caused by a lack of oxygen.

Matthew Gallagher was questioned and was later arrested on child abuse charges.

Matthew Gallagher's explanations for the bruises and how the octopus became lodged in the boy's throat did not make any sense to the police officers.
