However, things took a turn for the worse after he found out she was transgender and his friends started making fun of him. ‘I asked the one I was talking to if she was a guy,’ said James Dixon. But before transgender Nettles could answer, Dixon became violent and started punching him in the face, knocking him to the pavement and then repeatedly punching him again.
The transgender woman fell to the ground with such force and sustained a serious brain injury and was unconscious, but Dixon continued to beat him. Nettles was taken to the hospital and died in the hospital 5 days later,
Dixon said: ‘A couple of days before this incident, I got fooled by a transgender and this could have led to this incident, I don’t care what people do. I just don’t want to be fooled, my pride is at stake.’
Before the transgender woman was attacked, Nettles had just moved into her own flat and got a new job at H&M and was also working on her own fashion line called Vanity Rose.
