Woman chokes, kills her 2 year old baby before dumping her

A 40 year old woman named Manju Devi have been arrested in India for choking and killing her youngest 2 year old daughter and dumping her body 20 km from her home. The toddlers dead body was packed in a rice sack and dumped at the refuse, a dog went to the refuse and to the rice sack and ate part of the child disfiguring her body.

The child's body was accidentally discovered after sixteen hours of the crime.

Manju Devi who works as a gardener before killing her 2 year old baby was fed up with the responsibilities of handling stress. She is raising four children all together. She decided to kill the last born to reduce her responsibility, a police spokesman claimed. The woman has confessed to the crime,” said the police official. 

The father of the deceased toddler had seen the sack when the body was still packed in it, but his wife misled him by claiming that the package was for the family where she worked as house help.

Even when the family launched a search for the child on Monday evening, she pretended to be part of the team.

She exhorted her husband to lodge a missing complaint. The police have claimed that the confession of the accused helped them nail the accused.
