Rodrigo Duterte, the Philippines President-elect, says he will visit the Vatican to personally apologize to Pope Francis, whom he described as a son of a whore after the Pope’s visit to Manila caused terrible traffic jams.

The mayor repeatedly said he wants to visit the Vatican, win or lose, not only to pay homage to the Pope but he really needs to explain to the Pope and ask for forgiveness.
