PDP sacks National Chairman Modu Sheriff

The Peoples Democratic Party has fired its national chairman, Modu Sheriff, and has appointed Ahmed Makarfia, former governor of Kaduna State as an interim national chairman of the party.

Peter Obi, former Anambra State Governor was also appointed interim secretary of the party.

The Peoples Democratic Party took the decision on Saturday as part of efforts to resolve the crises rocking the party.

The announcement did not go down with Modu Sheriff as he was not happy with the development, he then stormed out of the venue of the meeting, angrily.
