What is mercury poisoning?

Mercury poisoning also known as hydrargyria or mercurialism is a type of metal poisoning and a medical condition caused by exposure to mercury or its compounds. Mercury (chemical symbol Hg) is a heavy metal occurring in several forms. All of these, except elemental liquid mercury (for which intravenous injection of a comparable volume can be nonlethal produce toxicity or death with less than a gram. Elemental mercury causes damage by blocking blood vessels. 

What are the Effects of Mercury Poisoning

There is Scientific evidence to show once it reaches its destination of a tissue or cell, it expresses its toxicity.    

Mercury poisoning has the following effects on the body

  1. It contribute to antibiotic resistance
  2. It can hinder the function of enzymes
  3. It inhibits DNA repairs
  4. It displaces other good minerals in the body. 
  5. It can also alter the cell's ability to control the exchange of materials coming into and going out of the cell and many more.
What are the Symptoms of Mercury Poisoning

  1. Swollen glands and tongue
  2. Nausea and diarrhea
  3. Sores and ulcers in the mouth
  4. Nephritis or symptoms of kidney disease
  5. Insomnia
  6. Drowsiness
  7. Dark pigmentation of gums and loosening of teeth
  8. Loss of appetite and many more

Leeds United Legend Norman Hunter Dies after Contracting Coronavirus

He also played in the 1975 European Cup final defeat by Bayern Munich in Paris.  The England national team said they were saddened by Norman Hunter's death and that all of our thoughts are with his family, friends and supporters.
