Dasuki begs Buhari


Former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to please allow him enjoy the bail granted him by the Federal High Court.

This was  a day after Buhari had in his first presidential media chat declared that Dasuki and Kanu will  not be released because they will definitely want to jump bail considering  the heavy charges against them.

Alhaji Ahmed Raji SAN is counsel to Dasuki, he said: “I would want to appeal to Mr. President to please allow his client Sambo Dasuki to enjoy the bail that was granted to him. I cannot join words with you mr president. I have the greatest respect for you, both in your official and personal capacities. My appeal is just that I am begging you in God's name, please allow my client Sambo Dasuki enjoy his bail.”
Sambo Dasuki is a retired Nigerian Army Colonel and former National Security Adviser to the ex President of Nigeria, Ebele Goodluck Jonathan. He was appointed NSA on June 22, 2012 following the removal of General Owoye Andrew , he was indicted in a 2.1 billion dollars arms deal scam and currently standing trial before different courts in Abuja over alleged criminal diversion of 2.1 billion dollars meant for the purchase of arms in the fight against the insurgency of the terrorist group, Boko haram. He diverted the said 2.1 billion dollars in his personal account which as a result  has left thousands in the Northern Nigerians dead, and millions displaced.
