Syrian Army captures the ancient city of Palmyra from the Islamist state

The Syrian Army has finally recaptured the old city of Palmyra. The ancient city has been shattered in ruins after an intensive fierce battle between the Islamist states and the Syrian soldiers.

Palmyra is the site of the most extensive ruins of the ancient Roman Empire. The Islamic State seized the ancient city in May 2015, the fall of Palmyra would mark the largest single gain for the Syrian army and President Bashar al-Assad since Russia intervened with air power late September, 2015. With utmost ease the Russians turned the tide of the conflict in favor of President Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian army. Though Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Washington, and his Western puppet are not happy about this, they soon start to live with the reality that President Bashar al-Assad is going no where.

Russia is a nuclear powered State with a huge modern Army,  Washington and his Western allies are afraid to go into conflict with. Washington prays Russian soldiers start to go back home in body bags, Washington and his Western puppet wish for the Russians to fail in Syria, but the Russians were hugely successful in their military campaign against all terrorist groups including the so called free Syrian army.

The fall of the ancient City of Palmyra into the Syrian Army will be a huge blow to the Americans, the Saudis, Turkey and their Western Allies.

The scale of recent fighting reflects how important the city is of important to every party.  Russian and Syrian Warplanes launching airstrikes and the Syrian soldiers firing mortars. Russia and her warplanes have continued to support the Syrian army and its allies as they push their offensive on the ancient city.

The Britain based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the citadel had been captured. It said there were about 56 airstrikes between dawn and early afternoon on Friday.

Russia is the main ally of  President Bashar al-Assad ’s Syria, while Washington and other Western puppets, Turkey, and the Saudis have backed the overthrow of President Bashar al-Assad.  The war is in it 5th year and over 250,000 people  have been killed. millions displaced making it world’s worst refugee crisis in the history of mankind.
