3 young men shot dead in a touristic area of Acapulco, Mexico

3 young men have been gunned down on a street just off the beach of Acapulco, Mexico.

The Mexican authorities have identified the young victims as Marco Olegario Quintana Peláez and Luis Miguel Rojas Gómez, both 21, and Marco Antonio Acosta Morales, 27.

Police officers also found nine bullet casings of 9mm and 45mm calibers close to the location of the shooting.

Acapulco is now experiencing a new wave of gun violence attributed to conflicts between drug gangs. The United State Government have recently banned its employees from traveling to Acapulco, a Mexican City due to it violence.
