Federal High Court dismisses Metuh's application to travel to the UK

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja ‎has dismissed an application filed by Olisa Metuh asking the Court permission to traveling to the UK for a 5 weeks medical checkup.

The presiding judge, Justice Okon ‎Abang, held that the court lacked the jurisdiction to entertain the application.“This is not a case of sympathy, but a case of law.‎ This court has no jurisdiction to entertain this application. The court is not a Father Christmas to give to the defendant what it did not ask for. The application lacks merit. It is accordingly dismissed.

The court cannot set aside its decision.”The judge also dismissed Metuh’s argument that his ailment can only be treated outside Nigeria. The Judge also lament why Metuh would bring his case to his court.
