Man Dies after his Parachute Fails to expand

A man believed to be in his mid 30s has died falling from the sky to the ground after his parachute failed to expand.

He suffered severe injuries to his head and legs and was not breathing when ambulance officers arrived at the scene..

The man fell between 10 to 20 meters after his parachute collapsed in on him, rather than expanding outwards.

A doctor from the intensive care paramedic and a number of staff from the Queensland Ambulance Service tried reviving him, but there were no signs of life, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
