A mother who stamped her daughter to death has been knifed in prison. Kathryn Smith, 23, had her face slashed in an attack by two inmates at Foston Hall women's prison.

Kathryn Smith’s face was slashed in an attack by two inmates in the women’s prison. She howled in pain as she was punched and stabbed during a 4 minute beating in a stairwell not covered by CCTV.

A witness who saw the assault said there had been a lot of talk about attacking Kathryn, but most people wouldn’t do it because they don’t want time added on to their sentences.

Foston Hall women's prison housed some of Britain’s most evil women. No one had sympathy for Kathryn Smith. Some staff were even saying what goes around comes around. Drug addict Kathryn Smith was given a minimum 24 years in prison.
