Pedophile who jumped bail after raping a 12 year old girl in the UK surfaced in Brazil after 3 years

Antonio Pedro De Alves, 44, a Pedophile and a Portuguese national who fled the United Kingdom in January 2013 after he was released on bail on the charges of raping a 12 year old girl has been found in Brazil after 3 years of hiding from the law. 

Alves was living in the English town of Rugeley in Staffordshire, United Kingdom when he first made contact with his victim on the social media website Bebo. 

He pretended to be a sports loving 15 year old persuading his victim to meet him at a supermarket car park in Cannock in December 2011. When the victim arrived Alves claimed to be a relative of the 15 year old boy. The victim immediately became suspicious and tried to flee the scene, Alves dragged her into his car and raped her.

Alves jumped bail in 2013 running away from the United Kindom, an international arrest warrant was issued by Interpol. A 3 years manhunt ended this month when he was discovered in the beach resort in Brazil where he had married a Brazilian woman.

Alves was immediately arrested by the Brazilian Federal Police and has been remanded in custody. He faces extradition to the United Kingdom, where he will serve his sentence his 11 years sentence. 

For jumping bail, Alves may probably have more years added to his 11 years jail term.
