Mum Arrested After 1 Month Old Baby Dies After Home Circumcision

A one month old Ghanaian baby has died in Italy after a home circumcision. The parents of the baby, a Ghanaian father and a Ghanaian woman who have been described by Italian authorities as refugees have been arrested by the Italian Police.

According to investigation, the mother gave the one month old baby 250 mg of paracetamol after the baby was showing signs of pain and unease after the circumcision. The baby suffered cardiac arrest and was confirmed dead at a hospital in Italy. The Italian police is trying to track down the doctor who carried out the circumcision.
