Nigeria Army confirms sack of Generals, top Military officers

The Nigerian Army confirms the sack of some top Generals and military officers ranging in their ranks.

The officers are said to be sacked over an alleged involvement in the Ekiti governorship election scandal and some defense contract related offences.

The Army has refused to disclose names and number of the affected officers to the Nigerian public.

The Nigerian Army has also handed some of the corrupt military officers over to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for investigation over alleged defense procurement fraud, others were probed for alleged misconduct during the last general elections.
