2 drug smugglers face death by firing squad after being caught with 60 KILOS of meth


The Indonesian Police had confiscated more than 60 kilograms of meth drugs. The drugs were hidden inside air filters of heavy machinery. 

Following 2 months of surveillance, 2 people suspected couriers and dealers were arrested on the outskirts of Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, they were also suspected of involvement with a Nigerian drug syndicate.


The packages came from Cameroon, and were sent through Turkey before arriving in Cengkareng, Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The arrested men faces the death penalty under the Indonesia's drug laws, which have come under fire again this week following the announcement that drug traffickers would be among 14 death row inmates executed in the near future.

No fewer than 10 people have been confirmed dead and 5 critically injured in a motor accident at Abia Tower roundabout, Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria.  The fatal accident involved a commercial bus with Plate Number AKL-895YY and a truck.
