Mum Slit her 4 young children's throats with a butcher's knife before trying to take her own life

29 year old mother of 5, Shanynthia Gardner slit 4 of her young children's throat with a butchers's knife killing them and allegedly chased the 5th child, who is the eldest among her children out of her apartment with a knife after murdering his 4 siblings, but the eldest son who is only 7 years old he managed to escape.

After the eldest son got away, the mother returned back inside the apartment, where her young children lay dead, and tried to take her own life.

Shanynthia Gardner, the mother of 5 was later arrested by police in Memphis after being found with 'superficial cuts' to her neck and wrist.

A butcher's knife with what looked like blood on it was also recovered from the home after the mother of 5 was arrested.
