More than 100 stray dogs killed a 65 years old woman



A 65 year old woman has being attacked and mauled to death by a large pack of menace dogs on a suburban beach nearby Kanjiramkulam, India.

As the pack of dogs were attacking the woman, locals who came to the 65 year old's rescue said they were also attacked by the dogs.

The woman's son who was among the locals escaped the pack of dogs by jumping into the sea.

The woman's son told the reporter that his mother went to the beach in the night. As she did not return, he went out searching for her. He said what he saw was shocking, he said he saw her mother being attacked by over 100 stray dogs, and she was bleeding over her body.

He said he joined the locals around in the rescuing of his mother, he said the dogs number were overwhelming as the dogs overshadowed them with bites, He said he had to run for his life by jumping in the sea,

The 65 years suffered dog bites all over her body and succumbed to injuries while on her way to hospital. The woman later passed on.

Stray dogs have been posing a great threat to people, especially women, children and the elderly in coastal area in India.

The issue has been a point of debate in Kerala for the last few years after increase in incidents of stray dog attacks and was also raised in the Assembly.

Norman Hunter nicknamed Bites Yer Legs, was a key player in Leeds' most successful era. He won two league titles during a 14-year first-team career at Elland Road, and was a non-playing member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad.  Hunter Norman was admitted to hospital on 10 April after testing positive for coronavirus.
