Pastor and member arrested for armed robbery

A 45 year old pastor, Joseph olude of Elohim Cherubim and Seraphim's Church has been arrested along with one of his member, Rasak Raheem, for armed robbery.

The man were arrested on Thursday, August 11 by the Nigerian police force. The Policemen arrested the men on a tip off.

AK-47 rifle fully loaded with 30 rounds of live ammunition, and 15 extra AK-47 ammunition were recovered from the suspects.

The pastor, Joseph Olude said: “I have five children. I was arrested when the police found five guns on my premises. The pastor said the guns belongs to Rasak Raheem.

Rasak Raheem quickly countered the Pastor, saying; “The pastor and I are friends. I went to his church and a man called Bode from Cotonou brought the guns. I told the pastor that the guns were for safekeeping in the church and he said there was no problem.

Leeds United Legend Norman Hunter Dies after Contracting Coronavirus

Norman Hunter nicknamed Bites Yer Legs, was a key player in Leeds' most successful era. He won two league titles during a 14-year first-team career at Elland Road, and was a non-playing member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad. Hunter Norman was admitted to hospital on 10 April after testing positive for coronavirus. Hunter joined Leeds aged 15 and went on to play 726 matches in all competitions for the club - the fourth-highest individual total in their history. Hunter won the First Division title in 1969 and 1974, helped them beat Arsenal in the 1968 League Cup final, and then returned to Wembley in 1972 as Leeds defeated the Gunners to win the FA Cup. He also played in the 1975 European Cup final defeat by Bayern Munich in Paris. The England national team said they were saddened by Norman Hunter's death and that all of our thoughts are with his family, friends and supporters.
