70 year old man, Lawrence John Ripple had been arrested and charged to court for robbing a bank. Lawrence John told the authorities he preferred to live in jail rather than live with his wife in his home.
The 70 year old man entered the bank of Labor at 756 Minnesota Ave and handed a note to the teller, the note reads: "I have a gun, give me money."
After the teller gave Lawrence the money, instead of the 70 year old fleeing, he took the money and took a seat in the bank lobby. A bank security guard then approached him, but before he got to him, the 70 year old man yelled, "I am the guy you are looking for."
The security guard then took the money from the 70 year old and held him until the police arrived. After the police interrogated the 70 year old man, they discovered he had argued with his wife before he came to rob the bank. Lawrence told the investigator that he intentionally robbed the bank so that he would be living in jail rather than to live with his wife in his home.
