A woman in India, Karishma Walia has turned down a marriage proposal because her husband to be didn't want her dog.

According to a WhatsApp conversation posted on Twitter, Karishma said she doesn't want a man that doesn't want her dog, the husband to be said; "I don't want a dog to come in between our love life and not share the same bed...that's for sure and my mom doesn't like dogs in general."

Karishma then said the marriage won't work out". The husband to be continued: "Are you serious? My god," he said. "Are you sure about your decision. It may be a temporary phase in life when you like dogs. We are talking of your life here."

Karishma insisted she could not abandon her dog for anyone, the husband to be replied: "I am sorry to say this. But please marry the dog in that case."
