Veronica Panarello murdered her eight year old son after he had caught her having sex with his grandfather.
Veronica Panarello was sentenced to a 30-year jail term.Veronica Panarello strangled her son Loris Stival with an electrical cables then abandoned his body in a remote gully in Santa Croce, Sicily.
After killing her son, she then lied to the police that her son had been kidnapped. She told the police that she had dropped her son off at school, and that when she had gone to pick him up in the afternoon she couldn't find him.
But according to investigation, the CCTV footage showed that she had not dropped him off at school that day. Prosecutors branded Veronica Panarello as a manipulative liar.
Veronica Panarello blamed her husband’s father, Andrea Stival when she confessed to the killing. She told an earlier hearing that his son's grandfather had helped plot and carried out the murder because his son had caught them having sex. The grandfather is being investigated as an accessory to murder. Veronica Panarello's husband has now filed for divorce.
