Ghasi Ram who has been married to his wife for 18 years and blessed with two sons and a daughter came home partially drunk and started pestering his 34 year old wife for sex, but when his wife refused again, the 37 year old man had had enough and decided enough was enough by running to the kitchen pulling out a knife.
He sliced off his genital before collapsing on the floor, panicked neighbors called for the village doctor in Uttar Pradesh.
Ghasi Ram said: ‘I was frustrated. We have not had sex for the last ten or twelve years. She would never make love to me. She will not sit close to me and always refuses my demands.’
His wife said: ‘He would come home drinking every night, he never listened or cared for me. I just said no to him as he was drunk that day and I was very angry with him. It is not known whether his genitals were able to be reattached, and no complaint has been filed with the police
