Turkish Government denies supporting Biafra, Disowns Turk man claiming to represent Turkey

The Turkish Government through it embassy on Saturday denied backing a Biafran State.

The embassy released a statement that disowned a video footage by a Turkish citizen, Abdülkadir Erkahraman who claimed to be a Turkish diplomat expressing support for the secession of Biafra from Nigeria. The man who was in full range violently rained insults at the Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Turkish government disowned Abdülkadir Erkahramanin statement and denied he was a diplomat neither was he a civil servant or an official representative of the Government of Turkey, the embassy said in the statement issued from the Nigerian capital Abuja.

The Turkish Government said commitment to the territorial integrity and political unity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was what Turkey seeks. So thereby, Turkey never supports secessionist activities against the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
